Shelby Wozmak joined the Simmons College Sports Medicine staff in August 2016 as an Assistant Athletic Trainer.
In addition to her duties at Simmons, Wozmak acts as a preceptor for undergraduate Athletic Training Education programs at Boston University and Lasell College.
Prior to her arrival at Simmons, the New Hampshire native gained experience as an athletic trainer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for the Spring season, following a stint with Curry College's men's and women's soccer teams in the Fall of 2015.
Wozmak earned a Master's of Science degree in Kinesiology in May of 2015 at University of Massachusetts Amherst and also gained experience teaching undergraduate coursework in Sports Medicine in Amherst. While earning her degree, Wozmak worked directly with the Minutemen's nationally ranked field hockey team as well as the baseball team as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer from 2013-15.
No stranger to the Boston area, Wozmak received a Bachelors degree in Athletic Training from Lasell College in 2013. While attending the Newton campus, Wozmak also obtained a Minor degree in Coaching and was a recipient of the Kerkor "Koko" Kassabian Eastern Athletic Trainers' Association Scholarship Award, the ATOM iLead Student Leadership Scholarship and the Lasell College Athletic Training Book Award.
Wozmak currently resides in Wellesley, Mass. and is an Adjunct Professor for Lasell College's Athletic Training Education program.
