Simmons University Sports Medicine is dedicated to the overall health and well-being of all student-athletes.

 

In coordination with Simmons Health Services and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Division of Sports Medicine, the sport's medicine staff helps to ensure proper preventative measures, treatment and rehabilitation of all injuries, with safe and quick return to athletic competition. Our Student-Athletes have access to some of the best medical care available in Boston. A teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center provides Simmons Student Athletes a wide range of specialists and providers. 

Simmons Sports Medicine aims to achieve the highest level of care through a variety of programs and resources:

Strength and Conditioning

In partnership with Simmons University Exercise Science program, Strength and Conditioning Coaches and interns to work with all of our teams

Sports Nutrition

Simmons Graduate School of Nutrition provides Graduate Student Interns to work alongside our Team Nutritionist /Dietician to promote nutritional programs for peak performance

Research Involvement

Simmons Sports Medicine aims to provide evidence-based medicine in patient care. In addition to utilizing current best practices, our department is involved in research projects through Massachusetts General Hospital, Simmons University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the U.S. Department of Defense in pursuing the highest quality care possible

Athletic Training Clinical Rotation

Simmons Sports Medicine is proud to serve as a top clinical site for Athletic Training programs in the Boston area. Graduate students from Boston University and Lasell University continue their clinical education through semester rotations with Simmons athletes and medical team members
