  • Trull Leads Field Hockey over Anna Maria, 3-0

    BOSTON, Mass. – Senior forward Olivia Trull (Lowell, Mass.) scored a pair of goals to lead the Simmons University field hockey team to a 3-0 victory over visiting Anna Maria College this afternoon in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference opener at Daly Field in Brighton, Mass. The Sharks improve to 2-3 overall and 1-0 in league play, while the AMCATS fall to 1-3 and 0-1.

    WORCESTER, Mass. -- The Simmons University field hockey team was defeated by host Worcester Polytechnic Institute, 5-1, this afternoon at Alumni Stadium in Worcester, Mass. The Sharks fall to 1-3 on the season, while the Engineers improve to a perfect 4-0.

    WINTHROP, Mass. – Simmons University field hockey player Emily Plummer (San Diego, Calif.) was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Field Hockey Player of the Week for the week of September 2-8, it was announced today by the league.

    BOSTON, Mass. – Sophomore forward Emily Plummer (San Diego, Calif.) registered her second career hat trick to lead the Simmons University field hockey team over visiting University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, 6-0, this afternoon at Daly Field in Brighton, Mass. The Sharks improve to 1-2 on the season, while the Corsairs fall to 0-1 following their season opener.

    WORCESTER, MASS. -- First year midfielder Maddie Beckwith (Winslow, Maine) scored her first collegiate goal for the Simmons University field hockey team, but host Clark University scored 34 seconds into the second overtime to come away with a 2-1 victory this afternoon at Granger Field in Worcester, Mass. The Sharks fall to 0-1 in their season opener, while the Cougars improve to 1-0.
