Title: Assistant Field Hockey Coach

Sammy Rondeau has roamed the sidelines as an Assistant Coach for the Sharks over the past two seasons, following an outstanding playing career at Simmons.

The former forward was a two-time Great Northeast Athletic Conference All-Conference Second Team selection for the Sharks during a four-year career that saw her finish just one assist shy of the school record for lifetime assists. She played in all 76 of the team's matches, while making 56 starts and currently ranks fourth all-time at Simmons with 107 points and 41 goals. Rondeau was named a Captain prior to her senior campaign and helped the Sharks to the first two conference championships in school history to propel them to their first-ever appearances in the NCAA Championship Tournament. In addition, she was named to the GNAC Championship All-Tournament Team as well as the All-Sportsmanship squad during her career.

Rondeau was excellent in the classroom as well, being named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association National Academic Team in each of her four seasons at the Fenway campus. She made her mark as a highly-regarded member of the Simmons community, receiving the Simmons Athletics Coaches’ Award for outstanding commitment and dedication to Simmons Athletics as a junior and was given the Athletic Director’s Senior Award following her senior year for four years of outstanding dedication, performance and leadership.

The Franklin, Mass. native graduated from Simmons in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Psychology and is currently enrolled in the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program at Northeastern University.
