The Sharks fall to 4-10 overall and 1-1 in league play, while the Cadets improve to 6-7 and 1-1.

The Sharks improve to 4-9 overall and 1-0 in league play, while the Lasers fall to 5-8 and 0-1.

    BOSTON, Mass. – Sophomore guard Cassandra Stapelfeld (Brookline, N.H.) led all scorers with 25 points to fuel the Simmons University women’s basketball team to a 71-37 victory over visiting Mount Holyoke College this evening at Moore Gymnasium in Boston, Mass. The Sharks win their second straight game and improve to 3-7 on the season, while the Lyons fall to 0-11. The meeting marked the first game between the schools in nearly six years.

    BROOKLYN, N.Y. -- Sophomore guard Cassandra Stapelfeld (Brookline, N.H.) and senior guard Francesca Corsinetti (Johnston, R.I.) became the first teammates in school history to score 30 or more points each in a game in leading the Simmons University women's basketball team to a 102-44 victory over host Medgar Evers College this afternoon in the consolation game of the 20th Annual Dr. Betty Shabazz Memorial Tournament at Cougars Cave in Brooklyn, N.Y. The point total broke a school record, eclipsing the former mark set when the Sharks defeated Becker College, 101-38, on November 23, 2002. Simmons improves to 1-5 on the season, while the Cougars fall to 0-6.
