At the 73:44 mark, Emmanuel junior Kate McKenna (Holyoke, Mass.) slid the ball into the top right corner of the net to tie the game, 1-1, sophomore Amber Di Nucci (Assonet, Mass.) was credited with the assist. This was the last goal that would be scored for the next 17 minutes.
One minute and fifty three seconds in to the overtime period Di Nucci maneuvered her way around two Simmons defenders and launched a shot from fifteen yards out, which soared into the upper left corner of the net for the win. The goal was Di Nucci's sixth of the season.
