Simmons' last NCAA appearance came in 2004, when the Sharks last captured the GNAC Championship and an automatic bid to the national tournament. Led by four-year Head Coach Erica Mastrogiacomo, the 2009 GNAC Soccer Coach of the Year, along with Assistant Coach Caitlin Schimmel, Goalkeeping Goach Lynn Gugliuzza, and captains Rachel Elliott (Amherst, N.H.), Emily DiNuovo (Palmer, Mass.) and Katie Foley (Rochester, N.H.), Simmons will attempt to continue their post-season hot streak, started when the squad upset the #1 and #2-ranked GNAC teams to win the conference championship.

William Smith is led by Head Coach Aliceann Wilber, in her 30th year at the helm of the program. Wilber and her staff were awarded with the 2009 Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year honors this fall, after leading the Herons to a 13-3-2 overall record.
