    WESTON, Mass. – Simmons University’s Mindy Williams (Hampstead, N.H.) was named the New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association Women’s Charles Silvia Coach of the Year and senior Laura Simpson (Perkiomenville, Pa.) was tabbed the Kay Fromer Senior High Point Award Women’s Swimming Recipient, following the NEISDA Championship meet on February 21-24 at host Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Mass., it was announced by the organization.

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Junior Aine Scholand (Albuquerque, N.M.) won the 1000-yard freestyle in the only finals event of the morning and the Simmons University women's swimming & diving team sent 14 swimmers to evening session following the morning preliminaries on Day Three of the New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association Women's Championship at the Al '51 and Barrie Zesiger Sports and Fitness Center Pool on the campus of Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Mass.

    BOSTON, Mass. -- Junior Aine Scholand (Albuquerque, N.M.) shattered the GNAC record in the 1000-yard freestyle by nearly 41 seconds to lead the Simmons University women's swimming & diving team to a first-place standing after Day One of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship this evening at the Holmes Sports Center Natatorium on the campus of Simmons in Boston. Regis (Mass.) holds first place on the men's side.

    BOSTON, Mass. – The Simmons University women’s swimming & diving team won 12 of 16 events en-route to a 197-103 dual-meet victory over visiting Mount Holyoke College this afternoon at the Holmes Sports Center Natatorium on the campus of Simmons in Boston, Mass. The Sharks win their fifth straight meet to improve to 11-2 on the season, while the Lyons fall to 3-6.

Singleton has now received the award three times this season.

    BOSTON, Mass. – The Simmons University women’s swimming team won 11 of 13 events to defeat visiting Merrimack College, 168-69, in a dual meet today at the Holmes Sports Center Natatorium on the campus of Simmons in Boston, Mass. The Sharks improve to 10-2 on the season to notch double-digit victories for the sixth straight season, while the Warriors fall to 1-3 in dual meet action.

The Sharks improve to 9-2 on the season, while Regis is 6-3 and Colby-Sawyer falls to 1-9.

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Junior Aine Scholand (Albuquerque, N.M.) won the 1650-yard freestyle and helped the Simmons University 800-yard freestyle relay team to a third-place finish with a school-record time on Day One of the MIT Swimming & Diving Winter Invitational at the Al '51 and Barrie Zesiger Sports and Fitness Center Pool in Cambridge, Mass. The Sharks scored 106 points to place fourth, just one point behind Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Tufts University tallied 256 points to lead the meet after the opening day, while Massachusetts Institute of Technology racked up 233 points to stand second overall.

The Sharks improve to 7-2 on the season, while the Nor’easters fall to fall to 2-3.
