  • Weeg Fuels Volleyball in 3-0 Win over Colby-Sawyer
    September 20, 2017
    BOSTON, Mass. – Sophomore outside hitter Morgan Weeg (Goodyear, Ariz.) spiked for 16 kills on a .357 hitting percentage to lead the Simmons College women’s volleyball team to a 3-0 (25-21, 25-18, 25-18) victory over visiting Colby-Sawyer College this evening at Moore Gymnasium in Boston, Mass. The Sharks improve to 6-6 on the season, while the Chargers fall to 3-10. 
  • Roberge Leads Volleyball in 3-1 Loss at Lesley

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - First year outside hitter Riley Roberge (Peoria, Ariz.) registered 20 points to lead all players, including 16 kills and four aces, to lead the Simmons  College women's volleyball team in a 3-1 loss to host Lesley University. The Sharks fall to 5-6 on the season, while the Lynx improve to 4-5.
  • Volleyball Splits Tri-Match at MIT with 3-1 Win over Smith and 3-0 Loss to No. 20 MIT

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Simmons College women's volleyball team defeated Smith College, 3-1 (25-23, 13-25, 25-18, 25-21), before falling to host nationally-ranked number 20 Massachusetts Institute of Technology, 3-0 (25-11, 25-15, 25-17) in a tri-match this afternoon at Rockwell Cage in Cambridge, Mass. The Sharks are now 5-5 on the season, while Smith is 4-6 and MIT is a perfect 11-0.
  • Volleyball Unable to Hold Off Gordon in 3-2 Road Loss

    WENHAM, Mass. - The Simmons College women's volleyball team won the first two sets, but were unable to close out host Gordon College as the Fighting Scots held on for a 3-2 (25-27, 12-25, 25-21, 25-23, 15-13) victory tonight at Bennett Athletic Center in Wenham, Mass. The Sharks fall to 4-4 on the season, while Gordon improves to 4-5.
  • Volleyball Splits with Elms (3-1 L) and Mount Holyoke (3-0 W) in Tri-Match

    SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. - The Simmons College women's volleyball team split a pair of matches in a tri-match, falling 3-1 (25-19, 23-25, 25-18, 25-20) to Elms College, before defeating host Mount Holyoke College, 3-0 (25-20, 25-21, 25-21), this afternoon at Mildred Howard Gym in South Hadley, Mass. The Sharks are now 4-3 on the season, while Elms is 4-2. Mount Holyoke is 4-1.

    BOSTON, Mass. – Sophomore outside hitter Morgan Weeg (Goodyear, Ariz.) put down 13 kills on a .478 hitting percentage to lead the Simmons College women’s volleyball team to a 3-0 (25-16, 25-19, 25-14) victory over visiting University of Massachusetts Dartmouth this evening at Moore Gymnasium in Boston, Mass. The Sharks improve to 3-2 on the season, while the Corsairs fall to 1-2. 
  • Weeg, Harberts Lead Volleyball on Day Two of Colonial Classic

    DANBURY, Conn. - Sophomore outside hitter Morgan Weeg (Goodyear, Ariz.) and first year outside hitter Jarene Harberts (Naples, Fla.) combined for 74 kills in a pair of matches at the Colonial Classic hosted by Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, Conn. The Sharks fell in four sets to Wentworth Institute of Technology, 25-18, 25-21, 22-25, 25-19, before rebounding to defeat Pennsylvania State University-Berks, 24-26, 26-24, 25-9, 25-10. Simmons is now 2-2 on the season, while Wentworth is 4-0 and Penn. State-Berks is 0-4.
  • Volleyball Splits on Day One of Colonial Classic to Open Season

    DANBURY, Conn. - The Simmons College women's volleyball team split a pair of matches at the Colonial Classic, hosted by Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, Conn. The Sharks fell in four sets to Rochester Institute of Technology, before posting a 3-0 victory over Western Connecticut this evening at Feldman Arena. Simmons is now 1-1 on the season, while RIT is 2-0 and Western Connecticut is 0-2.
