|Title:||Assistant Volleyball Coach|
Emily Zawisa joined the Simmons staff for the 2019 campaign as an Assistant Coach, but is extremely familiar with the program.
Zawisa spent a year as a player for the Sharks as a first year, but was unable to compete due to an injury. She transitioned from player to Team Manager and worked closely with the coaching staff during that time. This past season, the New York native provided statistical analysis for Simmons and is a big part of the Sharks game preparation.
In addition to her duties at Simmons, she is the Assistant Director of Operations and Head Coach for Boston United Volleyball Club for the past four years, while coaching at Nike Volleyball Camps.
Zawisa enjoyed an outstanding prep career that saw her earn Western Athletic Conference Most Valuable Player honors as well as All-Area Third Team recognition for Galway Junior/Senior High School.
The former middle blocker graduated from Simmons in 2019 with a degree in Exercise Science.
