CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Simmons swimming and diving opened the 2024 MIT Invitational competing in one of the longer events of the three-day meet – the 800-yard freestyle relay on Friday evening.
 
The Sharks 800-yard freestyle relay squad of Carli Quinlan, Chaelin Humphrey, Bee Eckels and Isabel Barry-Ruiz clocked a time of 8:34.19. It was the first time this season Simmons participated in the 800-yard freestyle.
