WINTHROP, Mass. – As announced by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) office, Simmons University Swimming & Diving'sÂ
Carli Quinlan was named the Swimmer of the Week.
The veteran swimmer put together yet another standout performance this past weekend in a quad meet comprised of the Regis College Pride, Elms College Blazers, and the Gordon College Fighting Scots. Quinlan had a pair of dominant victories, first completing the 200 yard freestyle in 1:59.82 which was just tenths of a second off of the pool record, and then claiming the top spot in the 50-yard butterfly with an impressive 27.27. Additionally, the senior also contributed key legs in both the 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay, each of which earned second place overall.
Overall, the Sharks picked up two victories on the night as they defeated league foes Regis (175.00-88.00) and Elms (177.00-65.00).
Quinlan and the rest of the a Sharks return to the pool starting on December 5 for the MIT Winter Invite.Â
