BRIGHTON, Mass. – In their season opener on February 26, 2025, the Simmons lacrosse team faced a challenging match against Worcester State University at Daly Field falling 19-1. 
 
The Sharks' sole goal came from senior Frida Turriza, who scored unassisted at the 5:50 mark in the first quarter, briefly narrowing the gap to 4-1. Despite a strong start by Worcester State, which saw them leading 6-1 by the end of the first quarter, the Sharks were unable to find additional scoring opportunities throughout the game.
 
Worcester State's offense was led by standout performances from Abbie Wing, who netted six goals, and Molly Witkowski, who added four.
