MEDFORD, Mass. – The Simmons outdoor track & field program opened up their spring season with the Tufts Snowflake Classic on the campus of Tufts University on Saturday.

Sprints:

• 100 Meters: First-year Isatu Fofanah led Simmons with a time of 13.79 seconds, placing 18th overall. Juniors Zoe Schmaling (13.89s) and Carolyn Dorman (14.33s) finished 21st and 27th, respectively.
• 200 Meters: Dorman returned to clock 29.97 seconds, securing 23rd place, while Jayla James posted a time of 30.91 seconds, finishing 30th.

Middle Distance:

• 800 Meters: First-year Wanda Cirillo was the top Simmons finisher, crossing the line in 2:36.04 for 19th place. Hannah Bergeron (2:47.06) and Katie Repoli (3:11.08) took 31st and 44th places, respectively.
• 1500 Meters: Senior Sofia Girioni completed the race in 5:56.34, earning 40th place, while fellow senior Gabby Flaherty finished 51st with a time of 7:09.

Field Events:

• Sophomore Agnessa Lysenko posted personal-bests in the hammer throw (37.12 meters) and the discus (23.42m).
• First-year Trinity Williamson registered a personal-best in the discus (18.00m).
