Everett Garner registered a career single-game scoring five goals as Simmons lacrosse (6-7, 5-5 GNAC) cruised to the 21-6 win over Anna Maria College (2-13, 2-8 GNAC) on Saturday afternoon.
Leading the Sharks with five goals, Garner also notched a first quarter hat trick. Senior
Frida Turriza continued her standout season by contributing four goals and an assist. Additional scoring came from seniors
Layla Drinkwater,
Abby Mountain,
Kat Wood, and
Cerys Balmer, as well as junior
Leah Finn and first-year
Caitie Theissen, each adding to the team's total.
The Sharks established dominance early, leading 6–3 after the first quarter and extending their advantage to 12–4 by halftime. They maintained control throughout the game, outscoring the Amcats in every quarter. Defensively, Simmons held Anna Maria to just one goal per quarter after the first, showcasing a strong team effort on both ends of the field.
