BOSTON, Mass. — The Sharks completed the final dual meet of the 2025-2026 season, picking up another win and a loss. The Sharks breezed past Elms College, 154-82, but couldn't hold off Regis College in the end, 142-129.
By The Numbers:
- The Sharks started off the meet strong with yet another win for the 200 yard medley relay team of Laura Luthi, Julia Long, Carli Quinlan and Bee Eckels (2:01.21).
- Freshman Ainsley Horan took on the challenge of the 1000 yard freestyle and came out on top with a time of 12:51.91.
- Luthi touched the final wall in second place in the 200 yard freestyle, clocking a time of 2:18.12.
- In the 50 yard breaststroke, Quinlan raced her way to a first place finish (33.55), while teammate Charlotte Doherty finished shortly behind her in second (37.68).
- Eckels touched first in the 100 yard butterfly, swimming a time of 1:09.37.
- Luthi landed in third after two quick heats of the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 29.24.
- Eckels came in second after swimming the 100 yard freestyle in 59.82 seconds.
- Doherty had another second place finish, this time in the 100 yard backstroke (1:15.63) and her teammate Horan came in a close third (1:16.40).
- Long was victorious in the 100 yard breaststroke, touching the wall in 1:20.76.
- Quinlan and Luthi went one, two in the 500 yard freestyle. Quinlan finished the 20 laps with a time of 5:29.79 and Luthi came into the wall at 6:04.44.
- Long made another top-three appearance in the 50 yard butterfly, posting a time of 33.74.
- Quinlan ended her night with a win in the 100 yard individual medley (1:05.03) and Doherty came in third place (1:16.08).
- Diver Autumn Welch competed in the mixed 1-meter and 3-meter boards. She finished the meet in fourth on both the 1-meter (170.95) and the 3-meter (67.00).
The Sharks will return to the pool one more time this season to compete at the GNAC Championships hosted at Worcester Polytechnic Institute from Friday, February 6 to Sunday, February 8.
