GNAC RELEASE
WINTHROP, Mass. – For the seventh time in an eight-week span, Simmons University Swimming & Diving's Carli Quinlan was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Swimmer of the Week. Quinlan earned the honor after posting three first-place finishes over the weekend.
Competing in the final home meet of her illustrious career, Quinlan made a splash in each of her events. She opened the afternoon by touching the wall first in the 50-yard breaststroke with a time of 33.55. The senior followed that performance with a dominant win in the 500-yard freestyle (5:29.79) before closing the meet with a victory in the 100-yard individual medley (1:05.03).
Quinlan's top times helped lift the Sharks past the Elms College Blazers. Up next for Simmons is the GNAC Championships, set to begin on February 6.
