CONTOOCOOK, N.H. – Simmons University Cross Country returned to action today, traveling north to compete at the NEICAAA Championships at the Hopkinton State Fairgrounds. The Sharks competed against a large field of NCAA Division I and II runners, with just a handful of Division III student-athletes in the 5k race.
By The Numbers
- Charlotte Shaw led the Sharks with a 5K time of 21:00.1, finishing ahead of more than 50 runners in the 208-runner field. Shaw's time sent her into the top 12 in program history.
- Hannah Bergeron followed Shaw, finishing approximately two minutes behind her teammate, while first-year Sharon Liu rounded out the top three finishers for Simmons.
The Sharks now look ahead to Sunday, November 1, when they will compete at the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship, hosted by Colby-Sawyer College.
