Before Simmons: Four-year letterwinner in lacrosse and lettered in swimming for Massabesic High School ... Named Third Team All-Conference in Class A for the Southern Maine Athletic Association for the Mustangs lacrosse team ... Helped MHS lacrosse to three straight Southern Maine Championships as a first year, sophomore and junior in addition to capturing the State title as a sophomore ... Qualified for the State Championship all four years in both the 200 and 500-yard freestyle for the Mustangs swimming team ... Earned Junior Olympic Qualifying status for MHS swimming as a sophomore ... Swam on the club circuit for the Sanford Titans, Westbrook Seals and Daytona Beach Speed ...
