Simmons sophomore Katelyn Tighe (Easton, Mass.) has been named Field Hockey Rookie of the Week by the North Atlantic Conference.

Tighe's honor comes after a week in which she scored three goals for the Sharks. Tighe has been working hard to climb back from illness, which kept her out of the first three weeks of the season. Her ability to find the back of the cage during her rookie year is growing.

"Katelyn has an excellent attitude and great skills, and we are lucky to have her healthy," said Head Coach Kate Leonard. "This honor is greatly deserved and recognizes Katelyn's efforts."
