BRIGHTON, Mass. – Simmons tennis (7-5) returned to its winning ways earning a 4-3 victory over non-conference Suffolk University (0-8) on Friday afternoon.

Amoli Vad earned their fourth win as doubles partners knocking off Nia Bebb and Rachel Hill, 6-2. Moments later, sophomore
Emilie Lapointe and first-year
Masha Shutts grabbed their team-leading eighth victory together with a first doubles win over Caren Urbano and Meghan Tenneti.
In the singles portion of the afternoon, Lapointe was quick to pick up the Sharks second win of the day, shutting out Tenneti in two sets, 6-0, 6-0. Vad followed up with another two-set win over Bebb, 6-2, 6-2, while Shutts sealed the win edging out Urbano in first singles, 6-2, 6-4.
