HENNIKER, N.H. – Simmons volleyball (14-13, 12-03closed out the regular sweeping New England College (10-19, 6-9 GNAC) and Rivier University (15-15, 9-6 GNAC) on Saturday afternoon.
MATCH 1: Simmons 3, New England 0
Graduate senior
April Beatty led the way to the 3-0 sweep of the Pilgrims, registering her second triple-double of the season. Posting a .471 attack percentage with 10 kills on 17 attempts, while notching 15 digs and 16 assists.
Sophomore
Hannah Pridgeon remained consistent leading the offense with 13 kills on 35 attempts, while graduate senior Zoë Chatterton followed up notching a double-double, 11 kills and 10 digs. Sophomore Alicia paced the offense with 19 assists.
MATCH 2: Simmons 3, Rivier 0
April Beatty remained red-hot into their Sharks second match of the day. Hitting .412 with eight kills on 17 attempts and just one error, Beatty registered her second double-double of the game tallying 11 digs and 12 assists.
Chatterton followed up, posting a .353 attack percentage with seven kills on 17 attempts and just one miscue. In addition to tallying six kills, Pridgeon recorded 13 digs to lead the Sharks defense as
Alicia Beatty notched 11 assists.
SIMMONS HIGHLIGHTS
- Graduate senior April Beatty recorded her second triple-double of her collegiate career and second in as many weeks, tallying 10 kills, 16 assists and 15 digs against New England College.
- April Beatty finished the day with 18 kills on 34 attempts and just three errors for a .441 attack percentage.
- Sophomore Hannah Pridgeon tallied 19 kills and 18 digs on the day.
- Graduate senior Zoë Chatterton recorded her fourth double-double of the season with 11 kills and 10 digs.
