BRIGHTON, Mass. – Competing in its first meet in program history, Simmons indoor track saw excellent performances at the Early Bird Invitational on Saturday.
The Sharks 4x400 meter relay squad, of junior
Zoe Schmaling, sophomore
Hannah Bergeron, sophomore
Julia Pellegrino and first-year
Wanda Cirillo clocked a time of 4:36.19. Additionally, Schmaling was the Sharks top performer in the 60-meter dash, posting a time of 8.48.
Debby Perez and
Isatu Fofanah followed with times of 8.68 and 8.69, respectively.
Sophomore
Agnessa Lysenko was the top GNAC track and field athlete in the weight throw, posting a mark of 38-feet, seven inches to place 16
th – three inches ahead of Emmanuel's Madison Reilly.

Simmons returns to the track next Saturday, December 14 when they cap off the fall semester with the 2024 Mini Meet at Boston University.
