Indoor Track Competes at Harvard Invitational

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Simmons indoor track competed at the Harvard Invitational on Saturday afternoon and registered a couple top collegiate performances at Harvard's Gordon Track.
 
SIMMONS HIGHLIGHTS
  • First-year Wanda Cirillo placed 17th in the mile, eclipsing a previous top collegiate time, finishing in 5:39.32.
  • Cirillo also placed 17th in the 800-meter and was the third Division III runner clocking a top collegiate best of 2:32.55 – just two-hundredths of a second behind Williams' Greta Vaughn.
  • Junior Zoe Schmaling finished second among all Division III runners in the 60-meter, clocking a time of 8.55.
  • First-year Trinity Williamson registered a top collegiate time of 8.93 in the 60-meter.
  • Senior Debby Perez recorded a top collegiate best in the triple jump, posting a mark of 9.45.
  • Perez was also the second Sharks runner in the 60-meter with a time of 8.78.
  • First-year Meg Henderson clocked a top collegiate best time of 3:07.14 in the 800-meter. 
UP NEXT
Simmons returns to the track on Sunday, February 16 with the GNAC Championship at Boston University.
