BRIGHTON, Mass. – Simmons indoor track began the new calendar year with more outstanding performances at the New Balance Collegiate Showdown on Saturday afternoon.
First-year
Trinity Williamson continued to show improvement on the track with a trio of personal-best marks. In the 60-meter, Williamson finished 19
th with a time of 9.02, while registering another personal-best of 30.41 in the 200-meter. Additionally, she posted a personal-best mark of 6.93 in the shot put.
Senior runner Debby Parez also notched a pair of personal-bests. Leading all Sharks runners in the 200-meter race, Perez finished 22
nd with a time of 28.44, then clocked another personal-best time of 1:19.14 in the 400-meter.
Competing her first meet of the season, first-year runner
Charlotte Shaw also excelled in the mile. Shaw posted a personal-best time of 5:49.25 to finish 20
th overall.
In the field events, sophomore
Agnessa Lysenko eclipsed a personal-best in the shot put with a mark of 7.29. Then in the weight throw posted a mark of 11.10 to finish 13
th.
