BRIGHTON, Mass. – A late Simmons soccer rally was not enough as the Sharks fell to Albertus Magnus College under the lights of Daly Field in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) match-up on Wednesday night.
The Falcons came out with great energy from the opening kickoff in this one, as they dominated the first half and went into the locker room holding a 1-0 advantage. They were also able to net the first goal of the second half to take a commanding 2-0 lead.
The Sharks were not going away. With five minutes remaining graduate senior
Cerys Balmer knocked home a loose ball off a corner kick from sophomore midfielder
Lauren Krupnikoff. Just like that, the Sharks had life. The Sharks were on the relentless attack the remainder of the game, but were not able to tie it up, falling just short to the Falcons.
