Emily Sideris Selected To Attend 2025 NCAA DIII SWA Program

BOSTON, Mass. – Assistant Athletic Director and Senior Woman Administrator (SWA), Emily Sideris was selected to attend the 2025 NCAA Division III Senior Woman Administrator Program held in conjunction with the Women Leaders in Sports Convention las week in Kansas City, Missouri. Annually, Division III provides funding for 30 SWAs to attend this division-specific program.

The program's goal is to provide professional development and networking opportunities for SWAs, in particular those seeking to become athletics directors and/or conference commissioners. Topics discussed will cover a variety of professional development topics that may include preparing your resume and cover letter for the athletics director search, networking, budgeting, positioning yourself to become an athletics director, the presidents perspective, working with and collaborating with athletics directors, and discussing the SWA's current role and responsibilities.

"I am honored and grateful to have been selected to attend the NCAA Division III Senior Woman Administrator Program, said Sideris. "This experience reminded me of the power of women supporting women in leadership. It reignited my passion for creating opportunities that elevate others and strengthen our athletics community. I left feeling more confident, supported, and equipped to make a lasting impact within my department and for our student-athletes."

In addition to the scheduled Division III specific programming, participants will be registered to attend the Women Leaders in Sports Convention or the NCAA Inclusion Forum depending on the host site of the program.  All participants will receive a year's membership to Women Leaders in Sports.

Sideris first came to Simmons University in July of 2021 as the Manager of Daly Field Facilities and Athletic Operations, before being promoted to Assistant Athletic Director in April of 2023 and SWA in early 2025.
