BRIGHTON, Mass. – In their season finale this evening, Simmons University Soccer took on the Raiders of Rivier University on Daly Field. Throughout the 90 minutes of gritty action, the Sharks surrounded just one goal against the No. 2 ranked Raiders in the narrow loss.

How it Happened

• Lauren Sanchez shined in goal, making nine saves in the first 38 minutes of play before the Raiders were able to sneak one through to lead, 1-0 at halftime.
• Simmons came out fighting in the second half, remaining strong on defense. Despite seven corners and 13 shots, the Sharks back line silenced Rivier's offense to keep it a one-goal game.

• Goalie Lauren Sanchez set a career-high in saves with 16 tonight.
• In their final week of the 2025 season, the Sharks went 1-1.
• The Sharks will graduate seniors: Stephanie Mendoza, Charlotte Sckaål, Carolyn Dorman, Kayla Noonan, Shannon Burns, and Courtney Sweeney.
