LOWELL, Mass. – The Simmons University Rowing team competed at the Textile River Regatta this past weekend, posting solid performances across multiple events.

Womens Open 4+

• Michaline Becknell took first place with a strong time of 18:13.424, leading the field by more than a minute over Franklin Pierce.
• Alex Mills placed third with a time of 20:07.021, rounding out a strong team showing in the event.

Womens Open 2x

• The duo of Ivy Maynard and Becknell captured first place in 18:22.938, securing another gold for the Sharks.
• The Simmons B entry of Rachel Beck and Sonia Provost finished third with a time of 20:01.112.

Womens Open 8+

• The Simmons varsity eight, coxed by Mills, placed second in their event with a time of 20:34.220 behind Merrimack.
• The Sharks kicked off the fall racing season with two event wins and five top-three finishes, setting a strong tone for the rest of the campaign.

The Sharks are back on the water on October 11 for the Head of the Kevin.
