Box Score BRIGHTON, Mass. – Simmons tennis (9-9) closed out the 2025 spring season falling UMass Boston on Friday afternoon.

Emilie Lapointe picked up their 12
th victory as partners edging out Zainab Patel and Lydia Chan, 7-5. Senior
Emily Lopez and first-year
Amoli Vad performed will in second doubles but the duo was unable to pull out the win falling, 6-3.
In the singles portion of the competition, Lapointe took Chan to three sets earning a 6-2 win in the second set after dropping the first set, then secured the lone Simmons victory claiming the third set, 7-5.
Vad also found herself trailing 0-1 in third singles to Ayonna Stuppard, but manage even up the match winning the second set, 6-4. However, Stuppard took the third set tiebreaker, 11-9.
Additionally, Lopez was the third Shark to take her opponent to three sets with a second set comeback against Elena Albano. After Albano won the first set 6-1, Lopez tied the match with a 6-3, before falling 10-4 in the tiebreaker.
