BRIGHTON, Mass. – Despite a strong effort, Simmons lacrosse (3-6, 2-4 GNAC) dropped a 17-7 decision to Saint Joseph's College of Maine (7-4, 5-1 GNAC) in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) North Division action on a rainy Saturday afternoon.

Frida Turriza at 4:50, closing the quarter at 3-1.
The Sharks showed resilience, with senior
Layla Drinkwater and first-year
Everett Garner each netting a goal in the second quarter. Turriza added another tally, bringing the score to a 4-4 tie by 7:40.
Returning to the field at the start of the second half, the Monks surged ahead with a series of goals. Turriza completed her hat trick with a goal at 9:35, but Saint Joseph's extended their lead to 11-5 by the quarter's end.
Joseph's maintained their momentum, adding six more goals. Turriza scored her fourth goal at 7:18, but the Monks secured the victory with a final score of 17-7.
