WATERVILLE, Maine – The Simmons University Tennis team traveled up to Maine today to kick off North Atlantic Conference (NAC) play against Thomas College. The Sharks dominated in the 5-2 win.
How It Happened
- The Terriers drew first blood in doubles, but the Sharks secured victories on the No. 1 court thanks to Emilie Lapointe and Emma Parsons (6-3) as well as No. 3 doubles partners of Grace Burke and Katelyn Bruce (7-5).
- Simmons got the better of the Terriers in singles as the Sharks claimed wins in No. 3 action from Burke (6-1, 6-1), No. 1 action with Lapointe (6-1, 6-2), Amoli Vad (6-1, 6-4) in No. 2 singles, as well as Parsons in the 4th slot (7-5, 6-4).
