CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – In their final meet before the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships, the Simmons University Track & Field team took a short trip to Cambridge to compete at the Harvard Invitational.
By the Numbers
- Carolyn Dorman was the first Shark to cross the line in the 400m, posting a time of 1:10.49.
- In just her second time racing the 60m hurdles, first-year Isabel Deptula shaved nearly half a second off her previous best to set a new program record with a time of 10.73. Jayla James, who clipped the school record last week at 10.98, followed with another strong performance, finishing in 10.88.
- Continuing to chip away at her own school record, Isatu Fofanah clocked an 8.23 in the 60m dash, cracking the top 50 in the event.
- Deptula nearly added a second program record on the afternoon, recording a time of 1:33.44 in the 500m which was just two seconds shy of the Simmons' mark.
- In the 200m, Alina Albuja recorded a time of 30.25, followed closely by James at 30.47.

The Sharks will have next weekend off before returning to action at the GNAC Championships on Sunday, February 15.
