How It Happened
  • Throughout the first half of the opening set, the Pride held the early lead before the Sharks locked it up at 11-11. Both sides went point for point until the home team put together an 8-1 run to close it out for the 25-21 win.
  • Regis jumped out to a 7-2 lead in the second set, but Simmons responded with seven straight points to take a 9-7 advantage. The Pride answered back, regained the lead, and pulled away late for a 25-20 win to even the match at 1-1.
  • The third set followed a similar pattern as Regis built an early lead before Simmons tied the score at 10-10 and briefly moved in front. With Regis holding a narrow 19-18 advantage, the visitors closed the set on a 6-1 run to secure a 25-19 win and a 2-1 match lead.
  • The Sharks battled back once again in the fourth set, erasing an early deficit and trading leads with the Pride throughout the frame. Regis ultimately held off Simmons down the stretch, earning a 25-23 win to clinch the match.
