GNAC RELEASE
WINTHROP, Mass. – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) office released the results of the conference softball preseason polls today where Simmons University and Albertus Magnus have been predicted to take the top spot in the North and South Divisions, respectively.
The Sharks secured 81 points and three first place votes, followed by Rivier (4) with 79 points, and Emmanuel (4) with 77 points in the North Division. Meanwhile, in the South Division, Albertus Magnus went number one, followed by the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.), and Lasell.
Simmons kicks off their 2026 campaign under Interim Head Coach Maddie Castigliego '23 on Sunday, March 1 against Clark University at 9 a.m. in Clermont Florida as part of The Spring Games.
