How It Happened
  • Everett Garner put the Sharks on the board at the 12:51 mark (1-0). Shortly after, Maria Turriza made a save off of a free position shot to keep the home team off the board. First year, Emily Horn went on a tear in the middle of the frame, recording three goals and one helper before Lauren Krupnikoff connected on a free position shot to make it a 6-0 advantage. Closing out the opening quarter, Horn found Leah Finn for the Sharks' seventh tally, followed by a Horn goal from Krupnikoff to go on top, 8-0.
  • Emily Horn and Kate Lawrence teamed up to score the next two for Simmons before Bridget McNamara fired in her second goal of the morning to bring the score to 11-0. Finn notched her second of the game down the stretch as the home team got on the board with 38 ticks left to make it 12-1 at the break.
  • Finn scored three straight to kick off the third before assisting on the fourth goal of the period as McNamara made it 16-1. With just over six minutes to go, Kate Petrosso put one in the back of the net as Horn capped off the frame with Simmons' 18 goal.
  • Sophia Gill converted a free position shot in the fourth as the home team tacked on their third in the 19-3 win.
