STANDISH, Maine – Traveling up the Maine today was the Simmons University Lacrosse team to take on the Monks of Saint Joseph's College (SJC) of Maine. The Sharks were the first on the board, but the Monks handled the early deficit to win by a score of 20-2.

How It Happened

• Not even a minute after the opening draw, Lauren Krupnikoff found the back of the net to put the Sharks ahead. Shortly after, however, the home team buckled down to double up the Sharks going into the second quarter.
• SJC caught fire to put up a 10-spot and lead 12-2 at halftime. 
• Closing out the third was first year, Emily Horn whose tally brought the score up to 15-2.
• The Monks closed it out in the fourth to add on five more for the win.

• Despite the loss, Emily Horn continues her streak offensively, as she has netted one or more goals in every game this season.
• The Sharks return to their home turf on Tuesday, Mach 31 to host the Blue Jays of the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.).
