MEDFORD, Mass. – Simmons University Track & Field competed at the Tufts Spring Invitational over the course of the past two days. 

By The Numbers

• In the 100m dash, Talya Mendez-DeGraw secured a time of 13.10 to take 21st place out of nearly 50 runners. In the same event, teammate Isatu Fofanah posted a time of 13.33 for 25th place.
• Jayla James broke her own school record in the 100m hurdles with a time of 17.73, improving her previous school record of 17.86.
• Carolyn Dorman shaved two seconds off of her 200m run from last week, crossing the line at 27.97 to take 34th out of over 50 runners.
• Building upon her program mark, Isabel Deptula booked a time of 1:17.42 in the 400m hurdles.
• The relay team of Fofanah, Mendez-DeGraw, Dorman, and James improved their record for the second straight week in the 4x100m relay (51.41).
