BRIGHTON, Mass. – In the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship Series, the Simmons University Sharks took game one by a score of 1-0 to force a winner-take-all game three before Albertus Magnus claimed the conference title with a 10-1 victory on Sunday afternoon at Daly Field.

Game One

• In the top of the second, Nevaeh Eth led off with a single and later came around to score on a wild pitch to give the Sharks a 1-0 lead.
• Piper Kinney kept the Falcons hitless through 4.2 innings to preserve the advantage in the circle.
• Albertus Magnus attempted to put together a two-out rally late, but Kinney recorded a strikeout for the final out to force a decisive game three.

Game Two

• The Falcons responded quickly in the deciding game, scoring three runs in the opening inning before extending the lead to 6-0 heading into the sixth inning where they pushed the advantage to 10-0.
• Not giving up without a fight, the Sharks' Zoe Soule and Eth hit back-to-back singles to lead off the bottom of the sixth. Emery Kreidel-Reimer followed with an RBI single down the left field line to score Soule and eliminate the shutout (10-1).

Beyond The Box Score

• Senior Piper Kinney recorded nine strikeouts on the day and finished her career with 667 strikeouts, cementing herself as the program's all-time leader.
• Seniors Emily Deleault, Trinity Payne, Emma Soule, Teagan Buckley, and Emery Kreidel-Reimer each collected at least one hit in the final games of their collegiate careers.
• Senior Ally Hyde was called on in relief in game two and needed just one pitch to record the final out of the inning and prevent further damage.
• In game two, Teagan Buckley recorded her 150th career hit as a Shark and now ranks sixth all-time in program history.
• The Sharks graduate seven seniors from this year's squad: Teagan Buckley, Emily Deleault, Ally Hyde, Piper Kinney, Emery Kreidel-Reimer, Trinity Payne, and Emma Soule.
