Box Score AMHERST, Mass. – Simmons University Tennis traveled to Amherst College today to square off against No. 16-ranked Swarthmore College in the NCAA DIII Tennis First Round. With the match being played to decision, the Sharks were topped by the Garnets, 4-0.
How It Happened
- The Garnets raced away with the doubles point with wins on the No. 1 and No. 3 courts to take the early 1-0 advantage.
- Swarthmore carried their momentum into singles play as the nationally-ranked program claimed wins in No. 4, 5, and 6 play to secure the victory.
Simmons concludes the 2025-26 season after earning their 11th overall conference championship and NCAA Tournament appearance. The Sharks are set to return their entire lineup next season as they look to once again compete for the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) title and an automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament.
