Evaluations:

Evaluations Eligibility:

• Full Time Simmons Students, or College of Fenway Students
• First Year in College Students with an Acceptance Letter to Simmons, or a COF institution, for the Fall
• Transfer Students who have been accepted OR pending an admissions decisions with a completed Simmons application (all things received by Simmons)

To Prepare for Evaluations:

• Complete the Pre-Registration
  • Acceptance Letter included or Student ID number required
• Learn the Required Band Chant & Sideline

• Print out the Waiver - Must bring with you to Evaluations:
  • Waiver
• Obtain a Physical or printed paperwork from your physician that you are cleared to participate in activities in 2025. All new athletes must have a physical prior to evaluations.

Skill Evaluations - Each Participant will be evaluated on the following:

• Sideline & Band Chant
  • Videos Above
• Jumps/Tumbling
  • Must be able to perform a variety of Jumps (toe touch, pike, front hurdler)
  • Tumbling is strongly preferred for the upcoming season
• Stunts
  • Ability to complete a minimum of an extension, or extended lib is required for the upcoming season
• PLEASE NOTE: Not all skills are necessary to make the team. We will be evaluating everyone individually based on execution, difficulty, coachability and attitude.

Virtual Evaluations:

• Students unable to attend the in-person evaluation are invited to send in their evaluation material virtually.
• Athletes interested in being evaluated virtually should email the coach videos of the following:
  • Required Band Chant & Sideline
  • Videos of their jumps, tumbling, and stunting
• PLEASE NOTE: Participants choosing to submit a video evaluation assume all risk and should create the video in a safe and appropriate setting
