Previous Experience

  • Spent three years as an assistant coach at GNAC foe New England College, helping guide the program to its first NECC Championship Game appearance in 2022.
  • Coached four NFHCA All-Region selections and four NECC All-Conference honorees.
  • Served as Director of Operations at The Lineup, a college coach co-op designed as a premier talent identification event for collegiate field hockey.
  • In 2022, Shaffer organized a Goalie Day event that featured over 130 goalies, 20 top coaches, and 12 collegiate goalies, working alongside world-renowned goalie coach Emily Snowden and Maddie Hinch 2016 Olympic gold medalist and 2020 bronze medalist, 3x FIH Goal Keeper of the Year
  • Following her graduation in 2018, Shaffer spent two years as an assistant coach at Sewanee: The University of the South, leading player development initiatives, recruiting, and team operations. Was assistant FH and LAX coach at Sewanee
    • For LAX - 4 SAA First Team, 3 second team and two honorable mention in 2019. Head coach was coach of the year (unsure if that's relevant)
    • For FH - 2018 - 2 first teams and 2 second team all SAA players, 3 all Region
    • 2019 - 2 first team and 2 second team all SAA, 3 all region players

Playing Career
Shaffer was a four-year letter winner, recording 10 career goals, including two game-winners across 50 career games.
