McKenna Crosby enters her first season as assistant coach under third year Head Coach Pat Helmas.
Crosby arrives at Simmons wealth of volleyball knowledge experience coaching club volleyball in Boston. Her coaching philosophy is player-focused, centering around strong cultural dynamics with an emphasis on the importance of team cohesion and a competitive mindset. She is determined to find ways to help players excel and grow both on and off the court.
Prior to coaching volleyball, Crosby was a four-year starting middle block at Mount Holyoke College. Starting in every match over her four years in South Hadley, Massachusetts, she led the Lyons to their first winning season in 30 years and helped shape a supportive and positive team culture as a captain. Additionally, Crosby excelled in the classroom earning Academic All-NEWMAC accolades three straight years, while finishing her collegiate career sixth in total blocks for Mount Holyoke.
Outside of volleyball, Crosby enjoys baking and crocheting in her free time.
