BRIGHTON, Mass. – The Sharks suffered their first loss in five games Wednesday night under the lights of Daly Field against the Emmanuel Saints.
The Saints wasted no time, as they netted two goals before the five minute mark of this one. The Sharks did retaliate quickly, as graduate senior Cerys Balmer found the back of the net in the 21st minute to cut the Emmanuel lead in half.
The Sharks continued to fight, and in the 82nd minute Balmer netted her second goal of the night as she was able to sneak one past the Saints' goalie.
First year goalkeeper Mikaela Marie Javar did all she could in goal, as she recorded a career high 12 saves, including two dazzling back to back saves in the second half as the Sharks fell, 11-2.
