BOSTON – Simmons volleyball (12-13, 10-3 GNAC) won its third straight game following a 3-0 victory over Anna Maria College (2-25, 1-12 GNAC) in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action on Friday evening.
The Sharks hit a staggering .403 as a team, registering 36 kills on 67 attempts and just nine errors. Graduate senior
April Beatty tied her career single-game high with six service aces and was nearly perfect from floor with five kills on six attempts.
HOW IT HAPPENED
SET 1: Simmons 25, Anna Maria 9
Simmons came out of the gate red-hot, posting a .533 attack percentage with 10 kills on 15 attempts to take the 1-0 match lead. .
April Beatty and fellow graduate senior Zoë Chatterton combined for six kills on seven attempts, while Beatty paced the offense with five assists.
SET 2: Simmons 25, Anna Maria 15

Hannah Pridgeon notched five kills on 10 attempts for a .300 attack percentage, while senior
Meghan Doxsee notched a solo block at the net defensively.
SET 3: Simmons 25, Anna Maria 11
Doxsee helped the Sharks slam the door on the Amcats going a perfect three-for-three in the third set. Fellow senior
Megan McNamara followed up notching three kills on four attempts, while Beatty led the way defensively with four digs.
SIMMONS HIGHLIGHTS
- Graduate senior April Beatty registered a career single-game high six aces, while also posting a staggering .833 attack percentage.
- Sophomore Hannah Pridgeon recorded eight kills on 15 attempts and just two errors.
- Graduate senior Zoë Chatterton also tallied eight kills on 17 attempts and only one miscue for a .412 hitting percentage.
