At 9-1 on the season, the Sharks are one win away from tying their program-best record to start the season when they won 10 of their first 11 games in 2022.

The Sharks controlled the tempo of the game early on and drew first blood halfway through the first period. First-year Hailey Brisson connected with senior forward Sydney Gonyea in the seventh minute to give Simmons the 1-0 advantage.

Heading into the second quarter of play with a one-goal, fellow senior Anna Tedeschi increased the spread to two finding the back of the cage for the 13th time on the season. But just before going into the break, the Raiders cut the deficit in half scoring in the 26th minute.

Returning to the field at the start of the second half, Tedeschi put the Sharks back on top by two, registering the eventual game-winner two minutes into the third quarter. They never looked back.

Tedeschi added to her line for the night in the fourth period, finding Gonyea for the Sharks fourth and final goal of the game. Rivier scored its second goal with less than two minutes to play, but it was not enough as Simmons cruised to its ninth victory of the season.
