Pride Squeak Out Two Second Half Goals To Best Sharks

BRIGHTON, Mass. – The Simmons University Soccer team welcomed conference foe Regis College to Daly Field this afternoon. The Sharks and Pride played to a 0-0 draw at the break before Regis scored a pair in the second half for the 2-0 win.

How It Happened
  • The Pride held the slight advantage in shots in the first half, but the Shark defense was a brick wall for the entirety of the first half to keep it 0-0 at halftime.
  • Simmons' defense made it challenging for the Pride offense in the second half, but Regis was able to find the back of the net twice to come away with the victory.

  • Keeper Lauren Sanchez tied her season-high with eight saves this afternoon while facing 21 total shots. 
  • Next up for the Sharks is another league contest on Tuesday, October 14 as they make the short trip across the street to Emmanuel for a 7 p.m. start against the Saints.
