CHICOPEE, Mass. – In the night cap on the day, Simmons University Field Hockey took on the Elms College Blazers in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play where the Sharks dominated in the 6-0 victory.

How It Happened

• After four shots within a 30 second span, the Sharks broke through with their fifth shot off the stick of Lilly Taglieri to put Simmons on the board first, 1-0. 
• Less than 60 ticks into the second frame, Ellie Foss took the ball into the back of the cage after a scrum in front of the Elms' defense (2-0).
• Simmons widened the gap to 3-0 after Katy Paveglio sent in a pass that Nora Desrosiers scooped up to sling it past the goalie in the 19th minute.
• Holding the upper hand coming out of the break, Avery Allaire added to the Sharks' tally in the third (4-0).
• In the fourth quarter, Desrosiers ripped in her second of the day before Hailey Brisson joined in on the scoring feast to come out with the 6-0 win.

• Rookie Nora Desrosiers collected her first two-goal game of her young Shark career.
• Ellie Foss booked her first collegiate goal this evening.
• In three of the past four games, Lilly Taglieri has netted a goal.
