Sharks Steer Clear Of Mariners In Dominant 5-0 Win

NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Sharks journeyed Connecticut to take on conference opponent, the Mitchell College Mariners. The Sharks finished strong in the 5-0 league win.
 
How It Happened
  • The Sharks came out hot, dominating possession of the ball and keeping the Mariners confined to their own half much of the first half with Grace Nostrant finding the back of the net twice in the first 25 minutes of the game.
  • Simmons controlled possession and kept the pressure on Mitchell's defense, firing off several shots before Peyton Renzi, Gabriella Almonte, and Kayla Noonan each broke through, burying a goal of their own to make widen the gap to a 5-0 victory.

  • Grace Nostrant booked her first game with two goals.
  • Gabriella Almonte netted her first collegiate goal of her rookie campaign.
