Falcons Bookend Goals To Clip Sharks

BRIGHTON, Mass. – For the final time during the regular-season, Simmons University Field Hockey stepped onto Daly Field as they welcomed the Falcons of Fitchburg State University where the visitors came out with the 2-0 win over the Sharks.

How It Happened
  • After earning a penalty corner late in the first quarter, the Falcons were able to find the back of the net to lead, 1-0.
  • Simmons out shot Fitchburg in the second but was unable to get on the scoreboard to trail by one at halftime. 
  • Holding the 1-0 edge going into the fourth frame, the visitors chipped in one more goal to secure the 2-0 victory. 
Beyond The Box Score
  • In the past three meetings with the Falcons, the Sharks still hold the edge with two wins to the Falcons' one since 2023.
  • The Sharks have their eyes set to Saturday, November 1 as they travel up to Maine to play the Saint Joseph's College Monks at 11 a.m. in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Quarterfinals.
